Placing Uruguay on the world map of art: Pablo Atchugarry's goal

In love with marble since the first glimpse of the Carrara quarries, the Uruguayan sculptor Pablo Atchugarry today carves his own museum as a space where art awakens curiosity and opens doors to new generations.
With the same joy with which, 45 years ago, he rode in a baby carriage from the famous Italian marble cradle the piece that would become "La Lumière", his first sculpture in this material, Atchugarry goes up and down the stairs inside his most ambitious work, the one that from this Saturday will attract the attention of thousands of eyes.
