Historia de Invierno (Winter Story) is a cinematic poetry in the key of archive that portrays the artistic bond between the French filmmaker André S. Labarthe and his disciple, the Uruguayan filmmaker Gabriela Guillermo.

The letters they wrote to each other over the years testify not only to their mutual affection and admiration, but also to their desire to one day make a film together. After a shooting hindered by the delicate health of the master and his subsequent death, the winter landscapes become the scene of the creative complicity between the two filmmakers. It is in the editing room where his films finally merge with hers, designing that imagined film that crosses both territories, weaving connections between both cinematographic cultures.

Winter Story is a long-term project inspired by Eric Rohmer's "Tales of the Four Seasons". The tetralogy of films is composed of Summer Stories, Autumn Story, Winter Story and Spring Story. With these four films, filmed as a tribute to the French director, Gabriela Guillermo and Irina Raffo begin a cinematographic journey with the desire to pursue, portray and film the different expressions of love during the different climatic seasons.
