Nobel Literature Prize winner Vargas Llosa expressed his surprise at the level of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Atchugarry (MACA).
The Peruvian writer, winner of the 2010 Nobel Prize for Literature, Mario Vargas Llosa, accompanied by his son Alvaro, visited this Saturday the complex of the Atchugarry Foundation, where the MACA is located, inaugurated months ago. He was surprised by the level of the same and also the progress that the place has had in the last 10 years, which was the last time he had visited it.
Vargas Llosa and his son were entertained at noon with a "asado criollo", with the participation of the Vice President of the Republic, Beatriz Argimón, young local writers, specially invited, as well as the director of the National Library, the writer Valentín Trujillo and his wife, the journalist Elena Risso.
On the occasion, the Nobel Laureate in Literature was relaxed and comfortable, telling anecdotes about famous and outstanding writers with whom he shared different stages of his career. There was also a fruitful exchange between the visitor and the young writers invited to the event.
In the photo, the director of the MACA, architect Leonardo Noguez, explains to Vargas Llosa what has been done and completed in recent times.
